The First Example:
The Noble Scholar Shaykh Abdur-Razzāq Al-Badr حفظه الله mentioned a story that's in the Book: "Tarīq Hijratayn" by Shaykhul-Islām Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله exposing the evil Aqīdah of The Jabariyyah:
An example mention by Ibn Al-Qayyim in the book Tarīq Al-Hijratayn. He mentioned this as an example or a true story that has taken place. One of the Jabariyyah seen another man committing an act of evil with his wife (and the refuge is sought with Allāh from that). He grabbed something to beat the man with so the man fled. He caught hold of his wife and started to beat her. When he started to beat her she said: It was by the divine decree (that I was doing what I did with that man). Meaning that she was forced (by Allāh) to do what she did. He said: You are doing such and such (act of evil) and you say it was by the divine decree (of Allāh)?! This means he has left from his Aqīdah by way of him reprimanded her when he said: You are doing such and such (act of evil) and you say it was by the divine decree (of Allāh)?! She said: O so and so, fear Allāh, do not waste the Sunnah and do not take the position Ibn 'Abbās! He (Ibn Al-Qayyim) said: The man became sorry and stopped beating her. He said to her: May Allāh reward you with good, I was about go astray. Some of them, even in the likes of these matters, go about upon this evil corrupt Aqīdah that which is known by necessity from the religion of Allāh عز وجل, sound intellect and upright natural disposition that it is an Aqīdah that is from the most corrupt and misguided of beliefs. And it (is also known that this Aqīdah) is the furthest away from the truth and that which is correct.
The Second Example:
Q. There is an issue with the naming (of people) Wahhābi. What is upon us to say to the likes of these people who name Ahlus Sunnah wal-Jamā'ah with Wahhābiyyah?
A. Shaykhul-Islām Muhammad Ibn Abdil Wahhāb رحمه الله is a noble Imam from the Imams of Ahlis-Sunnah, a caller who brought about rectification and an Imam who was a reviver (of the correct practice of the religion). He didn't call to himself, rather, he only called to the Book of Allāh and the Sunnah of His Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. Here we are reading his book 'The Book of Tawhīd' which is the right of Allāh upon the Servants. All of it is verses (from the Qurān) and Ahādīth (of the Prophet). He says: Chapter... then he mentions verses and Ahādith. Rather in some of the chapter headings, he makes it a verse from the Qurān just as he has done in this chapter heading which is with us. And the likes of this he has done in his books. Indeed he is only a caller to the Book of Allāh and the Sunnah of His Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. He is a caller to the magnification of the Book and Sunnah. He is a caller to the implementation of the Book of Allāh and the Sunnah of His Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, following the guidance of As-Salaf As-Sālih, prohibiting and warning against Ash-Shirk, Al-Bid'ah and acts of disobedience and it's different types. He is an Imam, reviver (of the religion) and a caller who brought about rectification. The likes of these nicknames that some people place upon others, they do this for the purpose of causing confusion to others and to keep them away from the truth and its people. And the one who Allāh has given success to be just in this matter and to stay away from the likes of these malicious/propagandistic claims and false speech, he will find that Imam Muhammad Ibn Abdil Wahhāb رحمه الله he is only similar to the leaders of Ahlil-'Ilm who traversed the path of As-Salaf As-Sālih, who magnified the Book of Allāh, who followed the guidance of the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وسلم, from those who warned against Bid'ah and evil desires.
